What we don't see (and which changes everything)

Hello and welcome to this week's new subscribers 💚

Today, I want to talk to you about an intangible… but fundamental subject.

You know, that kind of thing that doesn't appear in any Notion dashboard,
that can't be measured (at least not right away),
but that profoundly transforms the trajectory of a business.

👉 I'm talking about the invisible part of my job as a COO.

Photo of Lake Annecy, where we went for a bike ride during a client seminar last week. Absolutely magnificent!

What we often see in the role of COO:

  • Systems that rotate
  • Streamlined processes
  • KPIs that are well monitored
  • Empowered teams
  • A CEO freed from the run

That's true.
That's important.
And that's often why I get called.

But that's only the surface .

What we don't see... and what makes all the difference:

  • The difficult conversations I initiate when no one else dares.
  • The spaces for reflection that I create so that the CEO can breathe and regain clarity.
  • The subtle signals I pick up when something is wrong within the team.
  • The posture adjustments I propose to realign leadership.
  • The decisions I challenge when the CEO exhausts everyone by wanting to go too fast.

None of this is written in a job description.

And yet, that's where the essential thing happens.

The true value of a COO is not limited to their frameworks, efficiency, or organizational rigor.

It lies in its ability to:

  • to see clearly when everything becomes blurry.
  • to bring perspective when everything becomes urgent.
  • embody execution without losing the vision.

Behind the scenes — June news

  • I have welcomed 2 new visionary clients (I am fully booked until October — the next available spots will be announced in the fall).
  • I just left Annecy after a client seminar that was as strategic as it was human (meeting the teams and clients in real life = priceless 💚).
  • I have launched a new mentoring offer to help OBMs or project managers evolve into a strategic COO role.
  • And I'm thinking a lot about my 2026 strategy: how to continue to grow… without losing my way.

And you ?

In your company today:

  • Does someone help you see what you no longer see?
  • To make better decisions?
  • To challenge your stance when you're scattered?

I'd be curious to read your reply.

PS : If we don't know each other yet, I'm Aurélie .
I'm Fractional COO .

I help solopreneurs who are already generating over €250K/year to:

  • Gain 10 hours/week.
  • Structure their business.
  • And scale sustainably… without burning out.
