Hello 👋

Welcome to this 3rd edition of The CEO Essentials !

Whether you're experiencing growth, have an existing team, or are actively recruiting, you've likely already felt that uncertainty that makes you question the alignment or performance of certain team members. Whether your team is composed of employees or contractors, this issue can quickly become a hindrance to your growth.

This week, I want to talk to you about a simple but powerful tool that has transformed the way I evaluate the teams and CEOs I support as an outsourced COO.

This is the People Analyzer, inspired by the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) method and the book Traction (a business bible that I highly recommend!).

On the agenda (⏱️ reading time: 3 minutes)

  • The challenges of team management : How to avoid HR mistakes.
  • The People Analyzer explained : A key tool for evaluating and aligning your team.
  • Best recruitment practices : Ensuring candidates are a good fit with your company culture.

What can this tool do for you?

The People Analyzer allows you to structure your team's evaluation along two essential dimensions:

  • Its alignment with your values (usually 5 key values).
  • Its ability to fulfill its role according to the GWC criteria : Get it, Want it, Capacity to do it .

Why is this tool indispensable?

As a CEO, you often face three major problems:

  • You don't know if a member of your team is truly aligned with your company culture.
  • You can't tell if a person is demotivated or simply overwhelmed by their role.
  • You lack clarity in giving precise feedback or making effective HR decisions.

These problems can lead to errors such as:

  • Keeping unsuitable people for too long, or firing good ones too quickly.
  • Spending your time compensating for discrepancies and wasting energy.
  • To find yourself alone in carrying the vision and execution of the company.

How can the People Analyzer help you?

I created a Notion template for the People Analyzer to solve these problems. This tool is incredibly easy to use, and it will allow you to:

  • Evaluate each member of your team based on their skills and alignment with your values.
  • Identify who to develop, who to reposition, and who deserves a real discussion.
  • Provide clear feedback, based on objective and measurable criteria.

This template is for you if:

  • You are managing a growing team, whether it is made up of employees or contractors, and you want to gain managerial clarity.
  • You're in the middle of a recruitment drive and you want to clearly define your company values to avoid bad hires. This tool will help you verify if candidates share the same values as your company and if they are truly capable of fulfilling the role.
  • You want to structure your feedback without getting lost in complicated Excel spreadsheets.

How do I receive the template?

It's simple:
1️⃣ Subscribe to the newsletter to receive the link directly.
2️⃣ Leave a comment below if you have any questions or want to discuss this topic! I'd be happy to answer.

If you want to clarify your HR decisions and structure your recruitment process more effectively, this tool is exactly what you need.

See you soon,
Aurélie
